“His what? Who does that, Stan? Who finds peace?"
"I guess."
"But he protected his kids best he could. Ways not too crushing. See it clearer now. What’s the saying? Consider no man happy who still lives? My father. Always draped under morose. But maybe his happy moments were more blissful than whatever passes for crap fulfillment in today’s mainstream sewer pipes.”
“There’s gotta be some bit of truth there.”
